A comrade of damnsel, Scott is currently serving time in a New Jersey
prison. He recently transferred there to finish out the remainder
of
his six-year sentence for distribution of heroin. He goes up for parole
in October 2002.
Controlling the Control Unit
"I do believe that every one who has spent time in prison, double for control units, suffers physical if not also mental damage."
Sensory Deprivation is Depravity
"This is Sensory Deprivation. And no matter how strong a person is, Sensory Deprivation is depravity at its worst. All five basic human senses - sight, sound, smell, touch, and taste - are severely suppressed - when one is slowly, but surely, and very subtly stripped of all the common sentiments of humanity"
Stop Prisoner Rape
"The horrors experienced by many young inmates, particularly those who are
convicted of nonviolent offenses, border on the unimaginable. Prison rape not
only threatens the lives of those who fall prey to their aggressors, but it
is potentially devastating to the human spirit." - U.S. Supreme Court Justice
Harry A Blackmun, Farmer v. Brennan
Campaign to End the Death Penalty
"We refuse to compromise, we refuse to surrender the dignity for what we know
is right...But we will move on, we have been strong in the past. We will
continue to be strong as a people. You can kill a revolutionary, but you
cannot stop the revolution. The revolution will go on. The people will carry
the revolution on." - Shaka Sankofa, murdered by the state of Texas on June
22, 2000.
